Foodie Festival comes to the Algarve

Algarve Chefs Week returns at the end of April 2015 with eight days of fantastic food created by some of Portugal’s most accomplished executive chefs. The good news is that we still have availability at Casa Ferrel over this period.

To celebrate the best of what the Algarve has to offer, this year the chefs have been set the challenge of creating their menus based on five ingredients that are typical of the region: hand-harvested sea salt (flor de sal), dried figs, carobs, broad beans and oranges.

Participating chefs in this year’s event are Chef Andrew McGuie (Louro Restaurant, Conrad Algarve), Chef Bruno Rocha (EMO Restaurant, Hotel Tivoli Victoria), Chef Jan Stechemesser (À Terra Restaurant, Praia Verde Boutique Hotel), Chef José Leitão (Moonlight Restaurant, Nau Salgados Palace), Chef Luis Mourão (Alquimia Restaurant, Hotel Epic Sana Algarve), Chef Miguel Lourenço (The Olive Tree, Hotel Vale d’Oliveiras), Chef Miguel Teixeira (Koi Restaurant, Vidamar Resort Algarve), Chef Osvalde Silva (O Grill Restaurant, Pine Cliffs Residence, a Luxury Collection Resort), Chef Ricardo Ferreira (Pepper’s Restaurant, Hotel Tivoli Marina Vilamoura) and Chef Vitor Monteiro (Restaurant L14, Nau Salgados Dunas Suites).
